I know we're falling in love with each other, even when there are so many unknowns. Hard, fast, but hard to accomplish. Do you know how sexy you are... you definitely know how to treat a woman right. I can already imagine that slow dance and scotch and a classical concert with you... along with the music from The Style Council and Serge Gainsbourg and the whole lot.

Well said, mate!
You cannot help but feeling disheartened and dismayed about Liverpool; hence you cannot help but agree with the lad's statement below.
I almost wish that Liverpool fails miserably this season so that some drastic action can happen from the board. Problems at this club are extremely deeply rooted. Starting from the board's arguments, the manager (his footballing philosophy/backward tactics and mediocre players), the academy (very little talent produced since Rafa's arrival- look at Man City, or even Middlesbrough), and even the fans (our delusion, unwillingness to face the fact that we need to catch up to Man Utd's spirit and Arsenal's management, our fear of embarrassment), poor financial performance... the list can go on.
Yet, as a club, they cannot bear to face it due to the avoidance of embarrassment. Guess what, the longer it lingers, the longer the club consequently suffers. We need to stop blaming the board about their lack of financial support, because using 38 million to buy a useless player (namely Aquilini) who cannot live up to his hype, with 0? starts is simply ridiculous and unjustifiable. Fans cannot just push the historical fault of the entirety of the club towards two old men that continues to fund the operations of the club when the supposedly "trusted hands" (as we're told repeatedly by some propaganda to trust the manager, ie. Rafa) fail. Accept it: WE, as a unit, ARE ALL TO BLAME.
I'm feeling extremely (and more and more so) alienated about Liverpool Football Club. Not, I repeat, NOT, because of the lack of trophies, but we are going backwards, both MORALLY and SPIRATUALLY, as a team.
In fact, the lack of results are simply a REFLECTION of that continuous decay.
That's enough about the club for today.

It's articles like the one above that have left me totally disheartened with what it is to be a Liverpool supporter. Every day I have to listen to people in this city saying that this is just a blip and we'll bounce back this season. Any sort of criticism of the manager or players is dismissed as being not from a real fan, and its left me feeling totally isolated. Slowly I've come to realise that their whole ethos is based on a combination of blind faith and self pity, and this is exemplified in King's article. For one of the chief football reporters for the Liverpool Echo to publish a piece telling Jamie Redknapp what he should or should not say is pathetic. Firstly as Redknapp's views are hardly held in high esteem, but secondly it perpetuates the idea of the self-pitying, they're-all-against-us philosophy of the Scouser. This may amaze King, but there is no conspiracy against Liverpool F.C. within the media and if anything his own articles exacerbate the situation. What results is a thinly veiled attempt at deflecting attention away from the painfully obvious problems at the club and onto Redknapp, who is little more than a vacuous Sky Sports Sales Executive. I'm not interested in the Benitez debate, the ownership debate, or any other ridiculous fan forum topics like whether Lucas is good enough or not. It's all become so tedius and while all this petty squabbling is going on everyone seems to have lost perspective on the only thing that matters this season: 17 defeats.
I have had some fun aruging with Paul Tomkins on the LFC website. This is another idiot who gets paid for spouting rose tinted nonsense every week while sweeping under the carpet the real issues at the club, but I quickly realised that this guy is far more typical of the average Liverpool fan than I am. Last night I realised that I've watched more Barcelona games this season than Liverpool, for obvious reasons. I've also not been to Anfield in 2010. I can feel my love for the club slipping away and I've come to the conclusion that if its blind faith and eternal optimism that is needed, then this club isn't for me. This season has left me feeling like a battered housewife who keeps going back to her abusive husband. So I'd like to thank Benitez, his staff, the Americans, and several members of the 1st team squad for opening my eyes to this horrible relationship. After 22 years of LFC in my life, enough is enough.

my response to 10 things
1) So apparently, I'm high maintenance and posh. yup, honey, this is proven though various examples tonight:D
2) Once i decide someone is my best friend, i do all i can to support him/her. This means staying late or even accompany them to the washroom.
3) I love socializing with people I wanna socialize with. I cannot pretend I am glad to see you if I'm not.
4) I also love drinking. This is a fact. I am NOT, I repeat, NOT pressured to do so in any point of my life, but I find it a good way to chill or reflex my emotions (positive or negative) in the alcohol. I also love the escapism.
5) The four of us are like a new, tightly knit group of best friends. :)
6) Totally agree with this: IB and uni talk NEVER LEAVES social situations.
7) Don't you actually think it's quite comfortable to wear a dress in a beach? (of course, i had shorts on, but i agree with fling-- i enjoyed the sand).
8) Is able to understand why emotional people are emotional. I'm one of them.
9) I stretch in lengths and can do ANYTHING to protect my brand image.
10) I have never seen such a generous and kind host.
